Hello there! Summer is gone and it was quite the experience. We spent part of it writing music and constructing sound effects (aka Assets) for Vivendi Games. The as yet untitled game should be out in October.
This month has Nast working on a remix of "Bathroom Floor" for Part Time Dog Pt. III. It rocks!
heedMattik is currently working with the Colt Vista boyz producing hip-hop for a Chilean artist. He's also chipping away at his as of yet untitled album.

•For those of you in the Seattle area dont miss Tekgnosis @ the newly renovated Lower Level on Capitol Hill @ 12th and Pine. It's gonna be hot!!!!!
Tekgnosis is one part Bird on the live electronic drums and another part local Laptop Battle winner m.O. live on the 'puter. SF party kids per history, they moved to Seattle a few years back to chill and focus more energy towards music. Past residencies at the See Monster Lounge and many local gigs have quickly caught the attention of those fans of live techno, acid and house. Their energy is contagious and your hips will shake uncontrollably.

•We just added 2 new songs to the products/mp3 section. Alpha ROM and Total Recall. Both of these tracks were featured in episode #51 of NCIS. Dont forget to grab one of the few remaining copies of our CD .watch. and a t-shirt! Only 5 left and then they are gone!
6Jan2006

• As for January and the coming year we have several projects in the works. Including several new songs for NCIS. 3 solo records from heedmattik, m.0, and bird. And of course the long awaited return of the legend known as "Roy Rock". Back from his hiatus and working on an exclusive disc with numeriklab. This is shaping up to be a very busy year. Stay tuned. Our New Years resolution is to keep the website updated! Hah!
•Also for those of you on the podcast tip we will be recording and publishing our first one sometime next week. We'll be plugging our instruments in and freeforming for about an hour along with a little discussion on various music related topics. Check back and subscribe!
30Dec2005
It's been awhile since we updated the news. Not that we haven't been busy! So here goes an update for the past 5 months plus things to expect from Numeriklab in the new year. Happy Holidays!
• NCIS has taken off and we couldn't be happier. Congratulations to the cast and crew for putting together a terrific show. It's a hit! You can download our latest musical contributions to NCIS in the music section. Thanks to all of you who have ordered CD's, T-Shirts, and MP3's over the last few months. We've been pleasantly overwhelmed with the response!
• In the studio we've had several artists come in to record. During October DJ Sessions laid down his own style of mash up. The Pixies meets Young MC was one of the mixes to give you an idea. Hip-Hop beats plus some 80's pop with a dash of metal and indie rock. Keeping those records locked for the entire song is no small feat. Big up to Sessions for holding it down and making tight! Big up to us for recording it!
• November had us mixing Colt Vista's EP "Buildings". It was our first time hearing their stuff and we we're blown away. So many textures and changes. Check them out HERE
• December 9th was the National Laptop Battle hosted here in Seattle with Numeriklab's very own m.0 returning as Seattle's reigning champ. The night was amazing and featured some intense battles. In the end m.0's "homefield" advantage worked against him and he placed 3rd. A valiant effort nonetheless and he definitley felt the love from the crowd. Shout outs and respect to all of the competitors, Fourth City Crew, Kris Moon and the whole laptop movement! Congratulations to Rrine and especially Starkey for turning some heads and taking the crown!

Welcome to the new numeriklab site!!!
• Numeriklab got with Gummi Studio
to RE-design the site you see hear before you. Check out the products
page for tons of new goods like: new Mp3's, a new CD and some insanely
hot and new t-shirts!!! I urge all to take a tour of the new and
improved site and let us know what you think.
What we've been up to:
• Music production/editing for cultural engineers Neverstop (click here to view neverstop.com) on some of their projects for MSN/Heinekens “Amsterjam 2005” music festival (click here to view Heineken's site)
and Target's campaign for Champion's C9 line of sportswear. Local
Seattle singer/songwriter Jesse Gaedtke is in the studio with us
recording tracks for his as yet untitled release. This project has Neil
and Matt engineering and co-producing. Jesse is a strong songwriter and
a skilled multi-instrumentalist. Be prepared. This guy is good.
• THE SQUIRE SON!!!! Numeriklab is working very
closely with some of Seattle's most well adjusted hip-hop producers
including Christophe Roberts (halla bak), Mick Charles (serbienWonder),
DJDM (www.djdm.com),
and NL on what is set to be the "SQUIRE" compilation. Packed full of
bangers that if your lucky (and we are too) you might hear on some new
shows this season. Be on the look out for the CD in the products
section of the site. Coming Soon!!! Ya Heard!??!
• NCIS preproduction. We are currently
writing a ton of new music for NCIS scenes. We look forward to hearing
some of those on the air as well. Sign up for the mailing list and we
promise to keep you posted about any new NCIS tracks.
• NCIS Fans! Check out the new track Speek
featured on episode # 45 of NCIS. You can get the mp3 or pick it up as
part of our 10 song compilation CD ".watch." Sorry still no sign when
the theme song will become available. Unfortunately it’s out of
our hands.
• Now go check out the site and let us know
what you think. For those of you who e-mailed and asked when we would
have a CD available now is your chance. Grab a shirt while your at it.
Shipped by yours truly: numeriklab. Put us to work. Peace.

• Congratulations to m.0 for taking home the
Laptop Battle title on Friday night at Chop Suey! The whole night was
full of amazing performances and it was a very closely fought battle.
In the end it came down to crowd reaction and the numeriklab crew was
extremely vocal. m.0 would like to thank everybody that came out and
rocked it. Special shout outs to Nordic Soul, Justin Byrnes, Danger
Dave, and Tom Chi for their sets. Truly mind blowing stuff. Check out
pics from the laptop battle at djplusruss.com. If you missed it come
out to Bass Kamp @ Lower Level (below CHAC @ 12th and Pine) on April
14th and see Tekgnosis featuring m.0, Nordic Soul, and Justin Byrnes.
It promises to be an intense night! We have a major overhaul planned
for numeriklab.com so check back soon!

• It's been awhile since we updated the news
section and we have quite a few things to report. First off welcome to
the site and welcome to 2005. We've been (and still are) holed up in
the studio working on several new projects. We are kicking off the new
year with 18 new tracks that we are making available for download.
These new tracks cover the majority of the music we've been making
since August minus a few that we're saving for later release. Here is
the really good news: we are dropping all of the prices to $0.49 an
MP3! We are having a late case of holiday spirit so please take
advantage. The music section got a slightly new feel to accommodate the
new arrivals. You will now see two large arrows in the bottom right
hand corner. Use these to browse through the pages. In December we
decided to take the plunge and start work on a new album. It's
progressing nicely and we hope to have it out in late Spring or early
Summer. Pre-production on the album has taken up most of our time but
we've still managed to squeeze in some side projects. We are remixing a
track for The Fading Collection which we are currently working on and
should be completing within the coming weeks. m.0 is producing a new
project entitled "Hereafterthis" w/ Nixy Oddsdottir and m.0. Numeriklab
will be co-producing as well. Of course we are continuing to fine tune
our tracks for NCIS and are very pleased that the show has done so
well. We've received countless e-mails from fans of the show who love
the theme song and are interested in finding a copy of it.
Unfortunately it's not available at this time but we hope it will be
released sooner rather than later. As you know, if you've e-mailed us,
it is totally out of our hands. We would however like to thank everyone
for their continued support and interest! Feel free to e-mail us
anytime and ask questions about the music or the site.

• Check out the 7 new tracks in the MP3
player. All of these tracks were written for Abby's scenes in NCIS.
"Abby's Dance" appears in episodes 8, 10, and 18. "Cryogenic" appears
in episode 21. The rest are brand new and may appear next season. Dont
forget to visit the music section and listen to samples of the new EP
"Signals V 1.1". If you like what you hear you can purchase and
download the high quality MP3 version for only $.99. Check back soon
for more new music and feel free to contact us with any questions or
comments.
17August2004
• The new and improved music section is
finally up! Run dont walk! and check out Signals V 1.1 the new EP by
Numeriklab. Listen to the MP3's and if you like what you hear pick one
up for only $0.99. For everyone in Seattle dont forget to check out m.0
and Bird aka Tekgnosis at the Seamonster Lounge (2202 N 45th St.) on
Thursday Aug. 19th. Check back soon for new MP3's and CD's! Enjoy and
let us know what you think.
6August2004
• A slightly new look for the website. We
changed the background pictures, removed some of the dead links, and
updated the MP3 player with some new tracks. Next we will be working on
the music section which we hope to have completed by the end of August.
For those of you living in the Seattle area come check out Tekgnosis @
the Scarlet Tree Wednesday Aug. 11th starting at 10:30 and playing all
night. The Scarlet Tree is located @ 6521 Roosevelt Way NE. If you cant
make that one then come by the Seamonster Lounge on Aug. 19th and watch
Tekgnosis blaze through a combination of house, techno, trance, breaks,
and anything in between. I went last night and I can honestly say I
have not partied that hard in several years (and I like to party). I
will spare the details but it was a rager. R.I.P. Rick James.
5June2004
• Just a couple of quick things since we
have not updated the news since the end of April. First off for those
of you in the Seattle area m.0 and Bird aka Tekgnosis are playing every
other Thursday (next show is June 10th) at the Seamonster Lounge in
Wallingford (at 45th and Meridian). I went last Thursday and it is a
very cool spot with an intimate vibe, tasty food ('til 2:00AM!),
friendly bar, and of course the music was a delight. As for Numeriklab
we are working on several new tracks for next seasons Television
lineup. Nothing official to announce quite yet but there are some big
projects brewing so stay tuned. We will also be overhauling the "music"
section of the website in order to accommodate Mac and PC users. The
plan is to offer both AAC (itunes and ipod format) and MP3's for
purchase and download directly from the Numeriklab site. We have
received quite a few e-mail's requesting files that are compatible with
Mac and as Mac users ourselves it is really a no brainer. We have also
received numerous e-mails from fans of NCIS who are looking for a copy
of the theme song. Unfortunately at this time there are no copies
available. We have delivered a full-length version of the theme to
Paramount but have not received word on it's release date. We save all
the e-mails we receive and we will let everyone know as soon as it
becomes available. That about wraps her up. Check back soon for new
downloads in the music section. Thanks!

• We are back from L.A. with our shiny new
ASCAP awards. The event itself was amazing if not a bit overwhelming.
ASCAP knows how to throw a party because we didn't leave until 3:00AM.
We spotted Clint Eastwood but I was way too intimidated to congratulate
him on his Opus award (congratulations!). Apparently Matt walked right
up to him shook his hand and congratulated him while I was trying to
get liquored up and m.0 bumped into him at the bar so I was the only
one who didnt have an Eastwood encounter. Howard Shore was also there
and even after a couple of drinks I was still too intimidated to
congratulate him on his Henry Mancini award (congratulations!). Herbie
Hancock was an unexpected and pleasant surprise and we actually got to
meet him and managed to snap a couple of pics. Penny Marshall, Robert
Rodriguez, Don Was, Wendy and Lisa, were also there among others.
Sufficed to say it was a star-studded event and we were walking around
looking like the Beverly Hill Billies from Seattle. They actually
introduced us from Seattle when it was our turn to go up on stage and
we all thought that was very cool. We walked up got our plaques, posed
for some pics and went back to our table. At least this is what I am
told because I don't remember any of it. We didn't get a chance to
thank anybody so we thought it would be cool to do that now. First off
a million thanks to Sam Diaz and David Grossman at Paramount. Without
them none of this would have ever happened. Thanks to Donald Bellisario
and Belisarius productions for creating such an amazing show and for
choosing our track as there theme song. The ASCAP award is really a
reflection of how well the show has done this season. Thanks to
everyone at ASCAP for helping us out when we needed it most. We wont
mention any names but you all know who you are. Of course we would like
to thank our parents, wives, girlfriends, kids, for supporting our
broke asses while we tried to be "working" musicians. Things are
starting to look up. I think that pretty much covers the awards. I hope
I didn't leave anyone out. Im starting to realize that this is looking
less like the "news" section and more like my personal journal but
thats cool. Its therapeutic.
18April2004
• Welcome to the new site. We plan to add
more music in the coming weeks. Our news section was not updated during
the construction of our new site and there are several things we'd like
to announce. First off we will be in L.A. next week for the ASCAP
awards. We are the proud recipients of a Film and Television Music
Award for the Navy NCIS theme song. We were fortunate enough to meet
some of the cast and crew last month and were blown away by how many
hours they put in. Navy NCIS has been such a hit and now we know why.
This award really reflects the success of the show. Many thanks to the
people who make it happen for working so hard and being such gracious
hosts . We would also like to announce the release of Losing Faith
feat. Sarah Fairless on C.O.P Intl.'s Diva X Machina 4 compilation.
Check it out at www.copint.com. We also recently completed a
collaboration with songwriter Sue Ennis. The track is called "Darkness"
and we will have it available in the MP3 player in the coming days. Sue
wrote the lyrics and Numeriklab created the music. Koshalla Flockli
came in and did an amazing job on the vocals. This track was such a
pleasure to work on we plan on doing more projects together in the
future. More to come...

• Birdtribe and Numeriklab will be laying it
down at Tost in Seattle on Wednesday Dec 10th with DJ B Shorty opening.
Tost is located at 513 north 36th street in Fremont. 21 up $5 at the
door. Dont miss it.
25 Nov 2003
• We were recently informed that another
Numeriklab track will appear in tonights episode of Navy NCIS. The song
is entitled Abby's Dance and should play during one of Abby's lab
scenes. We wrote the song with her character in mind (hence the title)
so we were quite pleased to find out that the song fit the feel of her
character. We would also like to announce the release of Sportball
Challenge a new game by Hipsoft LLC. Numeriklab provided some of the
sound effects for this game. Click on their links above or on the
picture to the right for more information. We are warning you in
advance this game is highly addictive. Enjoy.
24 Nov 2003
• We would like to thank everyone who came
out to Tost on Saturday night. It was a nice turnout and we had a great
time. DJ Manos kicked things off nicely followed by a captivating
spoken word performance by Cristina Orbe (Forgotten Soul). Mellokidz
(DJ's Sulli and Ahn) layed it down and got people out of their seats.
Birdtribe and Numeriklab were joined by Christa Wells and I swear
everybody in the place was dancing. Many thanks to Uniting Souls and
Iamedia for putting it on. Let's do it again. Also check out the forum
we just put up. We plan on discussing a broad range of topics so dont
be shy and register. Stay tuned.

• Paramount Television has hired Numeriklab
to write the main title song for their new primetime show Navy NCIS
premiering this Tuesday @ 8:00PM on CBS. We would like to thank Sam
Diaz and David Grossman at Paramount Television and Belisarius
Productions for giving us the opportunity to write the song and for
choosing our track as their new theme.
